Ears, Nose and Throat

Loud noises or loud music can cause temporary or even permanent hearing loss in children. Popular earphones at the level above 5 can permanently damage the ear if kept on more than 15 minutes per day. Other loud noises, such as firecrackers can also irreversibly damage the inner ear. One sign that the nose level is causing damage is a temporary ringing after exposure to the noise.

Let's promote a lifetime of good hearing. If you feel that your child is not hearing properly, or if your child has ringing, please have them evaluated by a physician. A hearing test can be done to better evaluate the child's hearing and determine if damage exists.
