Cardiac Rehabilitation Phase II
A 12-week, monitored program for people who have recently had a heart attack, angioplasty, coronary artery bypass surgery or angina. During the exercise sessions, heart rate and rhythm, and blood pressure are monitored. Weekly education sessions show how to reduce risk factors for coronary artery disease. A physician referral is required. This program takes place on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. (one hour sessions) on the second floor of the Rehab Services building. Pulmonary Rehabilitation
A physician referral is required to participate in this monitored program for people with pulmonary problems such as emphysema, chronic bronchitis, asthma, pulmonary fibrosis or bronchiectasis. A comprehensive lung function evaluation and exercise tolerance test are done to help determine individual treatment and exercise plans. his program takes place on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
